This co-ed recreation league promotes friendly athletic competition while teaching players the rules and skills of the game. The grade 3/4 and 5/6 teams will practice twice weekly. Little Squirts (prek-4 to 2nd grade) practice on Saturdays. Fall Soccer Registration 2024 - Grade 5/6 All children in prek-4 through grade 6 are invited to join fall soccer. This co-ed recreation league promotes friendly athletic competition while teaching players the rules and skills of the game. Exact start times and the format for inter-league play is subject to change.Practice An announcement of when practices begin will be made in the near future. The grade 3/4 and 5/6 teams will practice twice weekly. Little Squirts (prek-4 to 2nd grade) practice on Saturdays. The exact dates and times of practice will be announced based on coach and player availability. Players should wear shin guards, cleats, a mask and soccer (active) clothes. Please also bring a full water bottle. Equipment should not be a barrier to play, so please email the Rec Program Coordinator at recadmin@killingtontown.com if you need help with any of these items. Games The games are played in Rutland, VT. Exact times and locations TBD. Registration Fees Early registration is critical to having accurate roster counts and evenly sized teams. Register before September 1 and receive a $10 discount off the normal registration fee. Register after September 11 and there will be a $10 late fee. Financial aid is available to ensure all interested children can participate. Trunk-or-Treat Halloween - Trunk-or-Treat Vehicle Registration Calling all kids to the 3rd annual Killington Trunk-or-Treat! Kids will participate in a costume parade around the parking lot and will trick-or-treat at the various trunk-or-treat locations while enjoying games, live DJ, and costume contest. Who? Children of all ages. This event is free & open for everyone in Killington and neighboring towns.Where? Sherburne Memorial Library Parking LotWhat is Trunk-or-Treat? It is a Halloween event where individuals decorate the trunk of their car or bed of a truck, then hand out candy as kids trick-or-treat at the trunk of each car.When? October 25, 2024 from 6pm - 7:30pmPlease volunteer to decorate your trunk and hand out candy! To set up a "Trunk or Treat" destination, register your vehicle using the link below. Registration will be open from September 27th through October 23rd. We expect around120 kids to participate in the Trunk or Treating, so please plan accordingly. Costume awardsJudges will determine winners for most creative spookiest, and most realistic costumesCars not participating in Trunk-or-Treat can park at the Johnson Recreation Center and walk over. There are handicapped spaces available at the library. There is no advanced registration for children walking in the parade or trick-or-treating. Just come on by! Please leave pets at home for this event.
