Green Up Day 2025

Join this state wide effort to keep Vermont beautiful!
We know it’s not your litter, but after the spring thaw, our roads and trails need a little extra help. Pick up your free Green Up supplies at the Killington Town Office, Public Safety Building, or the Welcome Center, then spend an hour or two cleaning up around town. You’ll make a big difference and it feels great to give back to your community.
New this year: Volunteers can sign up for specific road segments to focus their cleanup efforts. This will help us better organize future Green Up Day initiatives and collect valuable data on community participation. The sign-up link is located at the bottom of this page.

Green up Day Celebratory BBQ
A BBQ will be held at the Johnson Recreation Pavilion for Green Up Day participants. After dropping your bags off at the Transfer Station, drive down the pavilion for a complimentary lunch.

Details:
Time: 11:30am-2:30pm
Location: Johnson Recreation Pavilion
Food Items: Hot Dogs, Burgers, Chips, and Side Salads.

Green-up Day Information
Green Up Bags are available during normal business hours at the Killington Town Office, the Killington Public Safety Building, and the Killington Welcome Center. You're welcome to collect trash anytime leading up to Saturday, May 3rd.

On May 3rd and May 5th, the Killington Transfer Station will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM for free Green Up bag drop-off.
