Field hockey battle for ball control
Join us for a 7-week introduction to field hockey. Young athletes will work on skills and fundamentals and put them to the test during scrimmages and small games. The required equipment for this program is shin guards, field hockey stick, field hockey ball, goggles, and mouth guard. If purchasing any of this equipment is a financial hardship, please reach out to recadmin@killingtontown.com

When: Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM from 9/13 to 10/25
Where: Killington Library field
Who: anyone grade 2 through 6 interested in learning field hockey

CHOOSING YOUR STICK LENGTH
You should always be able to comfortably control your field hockey stick. What size is right for you? Place the index finger of your right hand on your hipbone. Then place your middle and ring finger next to your index finger. The top of your stick should reach the side of your ring finger.

Player height - stick length
4’ & under – 28”
4’1” to 4’3” – 30”
4’4” to 4’6” – 32”
4’7” to 5’ – 34”
5’1” to 5’3” – 35” to 35.5”
